Position Summary

• Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the Database Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's database systems and safeguarding data integrity ensuring the security, efficiency, and availability of databases to meet the organization’s data requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Database Design and Implementation:

• Design and create database structures according to organizational needs.

Database Maintenance:

• Conduct regular backups and recovery operations for data availability and integrity.

Security and Access Control:

Performance Optimization:

High Availability and Disaster Recovery Planning:

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss in system failures.
• Configure and maintain high availability solutions for uninterrupted database access.

Scaling and Capacity Planning:

• Plan for database scalability, both vertically and horizontally, to accommodate growing workloads efficiently.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to end-users and team members on database-related issues and best practices.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Database Management Skills: Proficient in managing various database systems, including relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (Amazon DynamoDB).
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python and AWS CLI.
• Cloud Services Expertise: Demonstrates experience with AWS Database services (RDS, Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, Redshift, Database Migration Service, RDS Proxy).
• Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and related tools.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling.
• Expertise in database security, access control, backup, and recovery processes.
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex database issues.

• BURN is looking for a Cook, who will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for employees and residents.
• Your duties will include setting up the kitchen with necessary utensils and equipment, studying and gathering recipe ingredients, and ensuring timely food preparation with appealing presentation. You will modify recipes to meet specific dietary needs, monitor food stock, place orders, and check the freshness of ingredients.
• Additionally, you will experiment with recipes, suggest new ingredients, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality meals while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Cooking for the employees and the house residents.

About the role

• BURN is looking for an exceptional, efficient Aftersales Close Looping Agent to fill the role. The Aftersales Close Looping Agent will manage all Aftersales support activities.  The key role will be good customer service to all customers that require aftersales service, troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating all aftersales issues reported by the customers through the BURN customer touch points.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Product & Customer Experience 

• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. 
• High-level knowledge of all BURN products with the ability to address all questions asked by customers. 
• Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints within stipulated SLAs. 
• Communicating with customers through various channels and responding promptly to customer inquiries. 
• Analyze trends to create solutions to ensure customer service needs, business goals, and objectives are met or exceeded. 
• Follow up on customer issues to resolution by following the stipulated aftersales escalation process. 
• Assist in sales/after-sales requests placed by various customers and team members.

Aftersales 

• Ensure all Aftersales issues are raised via a ticket and track records of customer interactions, comments, complaints, and aftersales issues. 
• Providing feedback to all customers about their queries and after-sales issues. 
• Troubleshoot all aftersales issues, resolve non-technical issues, and escalate to the aftersales product team any issue not resolved at the swap station/stock point/service centre level. 
• Work with a warranty to ensure all swap stock/repair parts are available in the service centre. 
• Generate all reports about after-sales tickets status, the reason for pending tickets and ticket ageing. 

Sales, Credit & Collection 

• Work closely with the Territory Sales Managers and Sales Team Leader to address aftersales issues.  
• Ensure 100% of aftersales issues reported during credit collection are addressed within 24 hours.  
• Lead aftersales campaign & OTG activities working with sales and credit collection team. 

KPIs  

• Swap / Repair SLA < 24 hours from the time of issues reporting.  
• Customer satisfaction Index> 4 on a 5-point scale.  
• Effort score targets >4 on a 5-point scale.  
• Pending service orders and customer units at the service centres>3 days from the time of issues reporting.  
• 100% Supporting the collection & credit team with issues related to defective products.  
• 100% Daily reporting of aftersales close looping call activities.

• BURN is looking for a Senior tax & compliance officer responsible for tax and statutory compliance for BURN entities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare the necessary paperwork for monthly and annual tax, levies & statutory return filings and payments.
• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for VAT, WH VAT & WHT;
• Assist in lodging and follow up on VAT refunds with the revenue authorities;
• Ensure the Group’s’ internal processes are compliant with the existing tax laws by monitoring tax development at local and national levels;
• Maintain a monthly returns’ calendar;
• Serving as a liaison between regulators, revenue authorities and internal/external auditors concerning deliverables from the tax and compliance department;
• Recommend tax-efficient business structures for existing and new businesses;

Qualifications and Education Background
