Requirements

Education, Skills and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in HR /Business Studies or Social Sciences
• More than five (5) years of experience at job group 10 within MKU or in a higher learning institution/ reputable organization.
• Be registered with IHRM

• MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized University

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
• Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the University
• Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and University concerns
• Work on building, configuring, and deploying SQL, MySQL and Oracle databases as required. Ability to manage multiple Database Servers, including administration, application configurations, upgrades, and system patching.
• Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
• Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions

• Maintain list and documentation of student admission, registration and Progression of studies.
• Process of student admission and registration in compliance to University and Professional Bodies admission criteria.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Providing customer service and necessary support to postgraduate students, supervisors and instructors or individuals who have questions about performance and progression.
• Maintaining provisional result slips of academic records or other documents for postgraduate and ensure that student files/records are regularly updated.
• Ensuring postgraduate student records are organized and that all documentation are readily accessible for reference.
• Overseeing postgraduate student requests for supervision, seminars, ethical review, publications, introduction letters and relevant documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
• Scheduling regular allocation of supervisors, meetings, presentations, and other events on campus.
• Providing individual student weekly and monthly progress reports to the board of graduate studies.
