The Customer Development Lead is responsible for development and execution of the customers and channels strategy and customer business plan, to achieve short and long-term business results. He/she owns the contacts with the customer and is the custodian of Customer and Channel understanding in Kenya market. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

• Develop and manage the long and short-term plan for the relevant account(s)/channels in line with the agreed targets set in the strategic plan.
• Responsible for delivering the total annual sales plan, both in terms of topline growth and gross margin. 
• To manage the strategic interface between Unilever and the relevant Customer and set the strategic priorities for the Customer Business Plan. This involves developing excellent relationships with contacts in Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance.

• To work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop and execute the overall Customer Development strategy and to contribute to the overall company strategy.

• To build CD excellence and market competitiveness within his or her team, deploy core capabilities required to win by Channel and Customer, core skills such as Catman / Shopper / NRM

• Strategic Partnering: Provide strategic financial leadership to the Supply Chain team in developing long term sourcing strategy, dynamic sourcing changes, resiliency programs, best-in-class costing to build significant competitive advantage for the business. Ownership for providing sound accounting and financial processes which seamlessly support the Supply Chain business objectives, strategies and organizational structure. 
• Performance Management: Actively contributing to driving profitability, managing risks and challenging the business teams, managing costs & profit drivers across Supply Chain; reviewing actuals vs forecasts and flagging issues to promote accountability and sending early warning signals to drive opportunities & mitigate risks. MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The Bulk Offloading Liquids Operator is responsible for checking bulk liquids levels, circulation, inspection and transfer of the chemicals, spill control, material transfer safety, offloading bays, tank farm and area workplace governance and organization.  As a core member of the operations team, the bulk liquids operator plays an important role in maintaining process safety and will identify process or line issues to leaders.

They are also responsible for the safe operation of liquid holding and transfer equipment to deliver to manufacturing areas as per the required production plan, adhering to quality standards and maximising cost effectiveness, optimal running and equipment efficiency. 

They are also expected to carry out cleaning and inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance activities and record any issues/problems with the equipment to pass to the Technical Operator to resolve.  The Bulk liquids transfer operator should master the operation of the equipment in order to provide factory resilience.

JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical
• Knowledge and application of technical skills to Operate machinery safely and effectively in order to meet the production plan.  Conduct cleaning and lubrication as required.
• Possess a basic knowledge of the principles of mechanism, motion and pneumatics.

• Safety –Utilise all appropriate safety and environmental procedures relating to the Sourcing Unit and allocated equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team.  Understand the legal responsibility placed upon individuals.  Ensure that spills are prevented and if otherwise all spills are handled in an appropriate manner in order to minimize the environmental impact and rectify the damage done to the environment if any. Ensure that all bunded areas are cleaned and free of any accumulation of raw material, water or a mix of both.
• Workplace Hazards - Full knowledge of the workplace and hazards within it.  Utilise all appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment relevant to the task.
• Environment - Reduce costs due to waste (spillages) and minimize impact to health, safety and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct handling of waste and hazardous materials.  Must actively contribute to an eco-efficient environment.
• Quality Checks and Assessments. Carry out truck inspection and sampling for analysis and escalation of any non-conformances to leaders for action. Monitoring and Quality assurance tasks require an adequate level of sight and smell.
• Continuous Improvement – Knowledge and understanding of the key principles of UMS and an awareness of the tools used to identify and prioritise losses in the production area and eliminate them; role requires data. Monitor measures and performance after initial improvements and take further action as required.
• Start-Up/Shutdown procedures - Carries out pre-start-up checks and post maintenance checks to ensure that the area and equipment is clean and is in a safe condition as per the SOP.  Shutting down equipment and the area as per the SOP.
• Cleaning –Performs initial inspection and cleaning as per SOPs.  Will alert team leaders to potential sources of contamination, spillage and dirt identified in inaccessible places.
• Material Availability –Taking daily dips and recording bulk liquid stocks, offloading of bulk liquids and provision of continuous supply of bulk liquids from storage areas to demarcated storage areas as per existing 5S standards. 
• Administration – Conducts effective hand-over activities and accurately records events that have occurred during shift (daily stocks, environmental near miss and incidents etc).
• Communication – Can adequately communicate issues relating to safety and can provide operational observations and inputs to support decision makers by team leaders.
• Physical Ability – Machine Operators require a level of agility to move quickly between workstations, ascend and descend steps.  Assembly and control operations also require a level of hand eye coordination and finger dexterity.

Professional Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery operation

Purpose of role:

The Source to Pay (S2P) Market Operations role plays an integral part of the Commercial Experience (ComEx) organisation - at the heartbeat of Unilever, having a future fit operation, focus on Resilience, Fuel for Growth, and managing Future growth within our evolving organisation.

Globally we manage over 60k vendors across more than 82 markets supporting our key business groups - Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Homecare, Nutrition, and Ice cream, through the UniOps organisation.

Our Markets S2P role enables deployment of experience solutions and key transformation programmes and are the glue between Procurement and Suppliers helping execute sourcing activities for indirect items such as MBS, Capex, MRO and Logistics.

We ensure the steps required to have a purchase requisition raised and a purchase order created are completed and capture the relevant information at each stage of the process; we also play an important role ensuring suppliers are compliant with all of the relevant Unilever policies and wider business regulations.​​​​​​​ To do this we liaise with Markets and Portfolios to facilitate transactions and progressively ensure we drive value to the business, either through cash saving or preventing price leakages.

Role responsibilities

The Source to Pay regional role will be responsible for the complete management with forward thinking solutions improving end user experiences. 

As part of this delivery, the role encompasses the delivery of the S2P Finance Processes with the objective of exceeding best in class metrics end to end S2P process for selected countries, mainly through third-party outsourced providers (IBM, Accenture, AMEX, Citi, etc).

The S2P manager has sole responsibility over full delivery of the Global Unilever Process Model for specific countries within the UniOps P2P transformation scope.

The person working in this role will be the critical link between MCO being service recipient and 3PSP where the Services are performed. S/He will act as P2P process owner for his/her region and will be accountable for 3PSP service and delivery in front of MCOs in scope .

The S2P service line is responsible for:

• Accounts Payable processes (AP)
• Contract to Pay finance process supporting Procurement networks including
  Indirect (MBS) and Direct Procurement (Packaging, Chemicals, CM, Logistics), Travel and employee expense processes including credit cards.
• Global Process Models encompassing S2P
• Accountability and efficiency of TPSPs supporting Unilever MCOs being service recipient and TPSP where the finance S2P role acts as process owners for his/her region.
• Delivery of the Uniops S2P Transformation scope, leveraging digitisation and analytical technology to improve reporting analytics.
• Drive transformation and savings projects, relevant to further streamline operations
• Service: Ensure the IHD (supplier help desk) improves service end users experience as well as suppliers, increasing user end perception, supporting business critical escalations, and ensuring fast resolutions are provided.
• Collaboration, facilitate user training to improve awareness of contracting and finance functions to drive down finance related queries.  Having an extensive knowledge of procurement networks and systems such as Coupa, ICAT, SAP would be a good advantage to support the role, to drive resolutions faster resulting in enhanced ways of working supporting procurement, planning, suppliers, AP and FC functions.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

• Co-ordination, management, supervision, and advice to senior management on effective security management systems and solutions, within the business scope.
