Director Service Delivery at County Government of Kakamega

The promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, introduced the devolved system of Government which resulted to the formation of the 47 Counties across the Country, Kakamega County being among them. Kakamega County is located in the western region of the country with an area of 3,051.3 square kilometers and an estimated population of 2,079,669 and density of 682. Administratively, it is divided into twelve sub counties, sixty wards, one hundred and eighty seven Village Units and four hundred Community Administrative Areas. Politically, it comprises of twelve constituencies and sixty wards. The climate in this region is very conducive for many activities including crop and animal production. Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: –

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Governance and Leadership, Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Law, Entrepreneurship, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management or related field from a recognized University;
• Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Governance and Leadership, Business Administration, Public Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management or related field from a recognized University will be an added advantage;
• Relevant working experience of not less than five (5) years in a similar position in the NGO, private or public sector;
• Demonstrate understanding of Governance and Monitoring and Evaluation;
• Excellent inter-personal communication and report writing skills; and
• Demonstrate a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability
