About The Role

This role will be based in Kilifi, Kenya. You will be responsible for providing technical support for both field and office staff and at the same time providing a strong customer experience. You will be responsible for updating, tweaking, and repairing the computer systems and I.T. infrastructure as required.

What You Will Do

  • Provide first-level support for all IT requests by offering First Call Resolution; When needed, escalate requests to specific IT personnel for resolution and closure
  • Troubleshoot and repair both workstations and mobile devices on a daily basis and escalate where needed
  • Work closely with other IT team members to ensure all raised requests are documented, resolved and closed within the stipulated time
  • Assist in systems and applications installations, upgrades and maintenance for all workstations and mobile devices
  • Support field-based activities with remote-based assistance and field-based troubleshooting when needed
  • Train staff on computer software and systems
  • Participate in procurement planning needs each quarter and submit procurement requests in a timely manner, with clear justifications for asset demand and allocation
  • Follow up with external vendors on repairs for workstations and mobile devices to ensure efficient turnaround times

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or other related field
  • Minimum 2 years of IT industry work experience, with knowledge in client, customer or user support, systems installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • CCNA and ITIL Foundation certifications will be an added advantage
  • Experience in Linux Server & Windows Server IT infrastructure installations and maintenance
