About the Role:

  • To research, develop, and deliver new methodologies and technologies in the domain of product assembly, and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • To support BURN’s different engineering departments with standards, best practices, and know-how.
  • To collaborate with various engineering departments at BURN in process excellence activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading new manufacturing process development projects:
  • Initiation, scoping, concept validation, risk assessment, and ROI for the new process.
  • Spec’ing of the required machines, equipment, and tools for the new process.
  • Lead all technical discussions with international and local vendors.
  • Manage the related communications among all internal and external parties.
  • Plan, monitor, control, and report the progress of the project.
  • Documentation and standardization of the new process/technology.
  • Support the ERP and planning team in creating the phase-in plan for the new process.
  • Support the implementation team with standards, and know-how when needed.
  • Leading factory layout projects:
  • Assessment and analysis of the current state layouts.
  • Development of innovative solutions for a better factory layout and material flow.
  • Design and CAD of the future state layouts.
  • Identification, documentation, and standardization of the scope of work of the layout implementation projects.
  • Monitor, control, and report the progress of the layout design projects.
  • Support the implementation team with standards, and know-how when needed.
  • Develop best practices, and innovative solutions to improve material handling throughout the value-adding process.
  • Development and standardization of BURN’s products CKD strategy.
  • Working with BURN’s QA and Engineering departments on process mapping, documentation,
  • and standardization of the engineering processes and factory standards.
  • Building analytical models to support manufacturing problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Assist in building BURN’s manufacturing standards database and technology roadmap.
  • Assist in knowledge and manufacturing standards transfer to new local and global sites.

Skills and Experience:

  • Graduated from Mechanical/Industrial engineering school.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing, at least 3 years in sheet metal factories and/or manual product assembly lines.
  • Worked at least in one of the following areas during their career:
  • Factory layout.
  • New process development.
  • Home appliances and/or automotive product CKD.
  • Development of material handling systems.
  • Process mapping, documentation, and standardization of engineering processes and best practices.
  • CAD skills: Capable of using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt holders are preferred.
  • Problem solver.
  • Good listener.
  • Self-confident.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Detail oriented and well-organized.
  • Team player.
