The position

Vegetarian Cook will be responsible for developing new concepts and recipes of Vegetarian & Vegan products and ensure consistency in the quality to maximize student satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Develop and execute Vegetarian and Vegan menu that are palatable to the school community with locally available ingredients.
  • Ensure adherence to set standards of food quality, hygiene, preparation, and presentation.
  • Estimates daily production needs and communicates production needs to Head cook .
  • Keep abreast of latest trends & developments in the school communities eating habits, different food products, new cuisine, and leverage this knowledge in various projects. 
  • Check the quality and availability of raw ingredients for smooth vegetarian dishes preparation.
  • Ensure buffets/food displays are set up and maintained professionally and looks inviting.
  • Be responsible for the hygiene standards of the kitchen, storage areas, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with the occupation health and safety regulations
  • Any other duties as assigned to you

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Technician certificate in Catering  
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a cook  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
  • English proficiency
