• Curate a marketing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, identifying priority content aligned with local expertise

Events

• Curate exclusive and themed BCG client events, executing at the highest level

Media, branding & collateral

• Build a best-in-class suite of marketing & communication materials and outreach programmes for BCG’s clients to strengthen client relations
• Drive and manage BCG’s social media channels as well as those of key leadership
• Ensure brand management with coherent content in adherence to brand guidelines
• Develop, organize and maintain marketing collateral assets, including photograph libraries, video content and branded merchandise

Operations

• Support the Head of Africa for marketing and communications on Africa projects and operational structure builds and systems
• Collaborate across Africa system on planning, Africa and global events, amplifying content and performance measurement
• Track and plan against set budget, forecast future budget requirements
• Manage supplier contracts and marketing related vendor relationships
• Develop and maintain the client contact database in CRM and improve usage by the leadership group and their executive assistants
• Work with the Alumni partner to develop and implement an integrated engagement programme for local alumni networks and the Africa system
• Collaborate closely with Recruiting and Finance teams

• As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Social Impact Practice Area, you will help win, deliver and execute on highly impactful donor and philanthropic-funded international development projects in low and middle-income countries. You will collaborate and partner in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights for the development sector with a specific focus on supporting BCG to win and execute programs for large bilateral donors, multilateral donors and foundations. You will serve as a thought partner by developing content that can be leveraged for BCG tenders and programs and contributing to the management of tender processes and programs for BCG.

You will work across sector positioning, business development, knowledge management and project delivery. You will play an active role in shaping the intellectual property, market perspectives and commercial strategy of BCG’s Development Impact offer. You will be predominantly staffed on business development both developing a knowledge base to strengthen BCG’s offer in the sector and working directly on high priority tenders. • Managing and contributing to bids in the development sector with clients such as USAID, FCDO, World Bank, BMGF. Key Responsibilities

1. Hiring Process

• Responsible for end‐to‐end execution of the hiring process of candidates on the consulting track for assigned school portfolios including processing applications, screening, interviews and offers.
• Set up and manage interview schedules with candidates and interviewers.
• When required, coordinate set up for candidates interviewing remotely including video conference and liaising with other BCG offices.
• Responsible for set up and execution of interview days including booking of interview rooms, creating candidate & interviewer booklets, welcoming candidates, setting up of computers for online tests and creating reports during candidate review.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders such as university career services, faculties and clubs & societies.

Recruiting Marketing

• Responsible for event management of the assigned portfolio which includes identifying and booking high‐quality venues, organizing catering, conducting marketing activities and managing on‐site logistics on the day of event.

• Place advertisements in student publications, university career offices and with professional associations.
• Support (when required) Lateral Hire and International Recruiting Events ‐ from high level sourcing of candidates on LinkedIn to coordination of logistics for events.
• Develop high‐quality marketing material in collaboration with the BCG Global Marketing team.

Recruiting Administration

• Support the development of recruiting strategy jointly with recruiting team and school captains.
• Develop a school/project plan (based on strategy) and execute it with support from other team members (as required).
• Manage BCG specific recruiting database (e.g. STARS) jointly with the team which includes:
• Input candidate information from resumes
• Update and track candidate status on BCG Specific Recruiting systems.
• Capture and track BCG staff recruiting commitments in the events database.
• Run data analysis with Excel and develop PowerPoint presentations with support.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s or Honours degree from a recognized top‐tier university.
• Ideally 2 - 5 years’ work experience, ideally in a recruiting position in a professional services environment, university or business school.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
• Experience in managing CRM desired.
• Ability and flexibility to work outside 'normal working hours' during peak recruiting periods.
• Self-initiative, can-do mentality, proactive, combined with high quality standards.
• Team skills and competent and professional dealings with external contacts (media representatives, journalists, etc.) and BCG co-workers.
• Strong presence and experience in presenting to and interacting with senior audiences (CXO level).
• Must be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and be willing to take initiative.
• Ability to display a high level of maturity and professionalism at all times, in internal settings and external events.
• Excellent relationship management skills at all levels: from university students to senior stakeholders such as head of Faculties and senior BCG staff.
• Ability to relate to and form a strong relationship with university students who will be potential candidates.
• Perform effectively under pressure and handle difficult situations with poise, judgment, and tact.
• A high energy level and willingness to take on tough assignments is essential for success in this role.

 Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering original analysis and customized insights for sector positioning, business development and client projects by leveraging specific experience or knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.);
• Supporting BCG teams and clients achieve development impact and commercial objectives through contributing research and analysis as outlined by leadership teams. This will include both independent working and work under the guidance of a Project Leader who frames the interventions within the broader project context;
• Liaising closely with the BCG central client teams to support on bid processes including pre-positioning, partner engagement, research, RFI and tender responses;
• Supporting on market positioning including building relationships with clients and partners, developing and disseminating marketing documents to place BCG in the market;
• Productizing and creating IP contributions, e.g. bringing back insights and experiences from project into the specific knowledge asset or adapting existing BCG materials to meet the needs of development sector stakeholders;
• Education: providing insights to consulting and knowledge teams to nurture sector expertise and knowledge within BCG;
• Asset development: helping develop the assets and tools which will help BCG win work in your development topic area (e.g. project references, expressions of interest, proposals etc)

• Writing for a range of different audiences to produce high quality and concise materials including internal content, sector insights, marketing and selling materials, proposals and reports for development sector clients;

YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, with demonstrated high academic achievement in one of economics, political science, environment and sustainability, or related areas;
• 1-2+ years of consulting experience in donor-funded public sector consulting and business development; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred;
• In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years minimum industry experience required; 3-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred;
• Strong project management and implementation experience on FCDO, USAID;
• Technical expertise in climate, environment and sustainability, preferably with experience working within government policy or program development and delivery;
• Excellent written and verbal communication (English at proficiency level required);
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment;
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
