The Regional Influencing Lead role is key in the organisation's vision of ending poverty through the provision of high quality support to the SEA region programmes therefore, a mature, experienced and highly motivated operations person is required to:

Qualifications

Tearfund is looking for an experienced Influencing Programme Manager in Kenya. The Influencing Programme Manager will be responsible for implementing Tearfund's advocacy and influencing work in Kenya in line with the organization's strategy. They will be required to build networks and partnerships to influence government policies and social-cultural practices. Additionally, they will develop a preparedness plan to respond to crises and promote Church and Community Transformation, Environmental and Economic Sustainability, and Reconciled and Peace Filled Societies.

Tearfund is seeking funding from institutional donors for exceptional large-scale programming around the world, to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. Could you play a key role in enabling this?

We are looking for an experienced development practitioner for the role of Donor Relationship Manager. This role will be pivotal in both selling our vision to institutional donors and accompanying our programme teams in building their relationships with these organisations. You will be responsible for proactively developing deep relationships with a portfolio of donors, which will flex according to emerging priorities. You will accompany programme teams to acquire funding from governments, multilateral agencies and high-compliance trusts and foundations globally. This will be achieved as part of a broader Programme Funding Team comprising programme design and programme quality experts.

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile professional with a track record of building strong working relationships with institutional donors. We are seeking people with experience of a range of donors, however, at this time experience in securing funds from high compliance trusts and foundations and/or Nordic donors would be of particular interest.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of senior external representation
• Possess a working knowledge of a range of institutional donors and their priorities
• Be accustomed to supporting teams across the project cycle, from bid development through implementation to audit.
• Excellent networking skills, capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders, whilst adopting highly relational approaches to engage with culturally diverse teams

Contract type: This is a permanent role (subject to Tearfund country registration status) and is a full time position. However, part-time hours or a job share would be considered for the right candidates.

Location: This role can be based in any country where Tearfund is registered and legally able to employ staff, and where applicants have the right to live and work. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from Kenya based applicants due to the office capacity being at a maximum.

Duties and key responsibilities

• Lead on global reward strategy
• Working with the Heads of Global HR and the Global HR Advisor (UK Reward & Benefits), responsible for leading on and developing Tearfund’s global reward strategy, policy and practice Reward Management Information and audits:
• Develop and maintain a clear picture of our reward packages across all regions
• Mapping all regional job grades, salaries, benefits and end of contract payments
• Ensure consistency of job grades, salaries and benefits for regional-based roles
• Collect and record data by country on social security and tax deduction requirements
• Document and track anomalies in salaries/grading and provide recommendations for action
• Analysis of compensation and benefits data across regions and development of indicators
• Track inflation and develop other metrics for the countries that Tearfund operates in Liaise with the UK Payroll team in their annual tax exercise for non-UK staff paid through the UK and with
• the International Finance Team on tax compliance globally
• Conduct audits of SelectHR (HR system) across each region to review and strengthen global data on compensation and benefits
