Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to research work within the assigned Line of Business;
  • Conduct data cleaning, validation & management for various projects;
  • Conduct actuarial valuations, reserving and product development and pricing;
  • Preparation of recommendations based on analysis and modeling results;
  • Assist in project management for ongoing client assignments;
  • Assist in client communication, engagement and management;
  • Contribute to large parts of client reports, presentations and and thought leadership pieces;
  • Guide assistants on the the job;
  • Provide support in business development activities;
  • Participate in cross-departmental team activities to support organizational needs as may be required.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science;
  • Relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Good progress with professional actuarial exams- at least 3 actuarial exams passed;
  • Good knowledge of regional financial regulatory requirements;
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written skills);
  • Displays high motivation, team-orientation, adaptability, initiative, self drive and ownership of work;
  • Advanced IT, data management and modeling skills; proficiency in R and/or Python would be an advantage;
