Role Overview Summary

  • To Provide strategic leadership and co-ordination to ensure that all consortium and collaborating partners, youth panelists, and other stakeholders are aligned in delivering the objectives of the Make Way program.

Knowledge/qualifications

  • This is a senior role that includes coordination and management of programs. A relevant university degree or post graduate qualification preferably in Public Health or related field.

Experience

  • Substantial experience working for international or national organizations, including management of programs.
  • Experience in working in and leading partnerships and large consortia in SRHR programmes.
  • Evidence of understanding the challenges of working in consortia and its implications for program management.
  • Excellent understanding of consortium program cycle management tools to ensure effective planning, resourcing, implementation, and review of programs.
  • Experience of donor reporting on impact, changes, and effectiveness measures, especially with regards to major donors.
  • Practical experience of applying lobby & advocacy issues at a (consortium) program level.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of lobby & advocacy issues.
  • Experience and knowledge of the relevant program areas: capacity strengthening of (networks) of CSO’s, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, intersectionality, and youth involvement.

  • Excellent leadership, networking, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal/team working Ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate a consortium program.
  • Coaching a high performing team and staff of multiple organizations.
  • Ability to work flexibly, manage and prioritize a complex and variable workload to meet deadlines.
  • IT literacy (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, SharePoint)
