Elevolt was born to be the all-round resource tool for all things HR. We saw the need to pivot from the traditional human resource management ways to better, efficient tools that empower all business players in their own right.

We're looking for a well-rounded mid-level software engineer, who has a good grasp of the core software engineering principles and best practices for both server-side and client-side systems. An enthusiastic, fast learner, who's self-motivated, and passionate about their craft. Ideally, you have a mix of the following:

  • An analytical, yet creative, approach to problem-solving
  • Dedicated to writing clean, maintainable, human-readable code
  • Finesse – attention-to-detail, robust code, and pixel perfection.

Qualifications:

  • Software engineering and architecture skills in PHP (Laravel), Python (Flask), Docker, and JS (ES6, React).
  • Experience with AWS ecosystem: S3, EC2, RDS, Cloudfront e.t.c
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests and relevant test tools (PHPUnit, pytest, jest, mocha e.t.c)
  • Linux hosting environment, and shell command-line familiarity.
  • Demonstrated experience with Git, collaborating with other developers, and working with other peoples' code.
  • Experience with the Agile and Scrum methodology.
  • At least 1-2 years professional, full-time software engineering experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, readable, and testable code.
  • Implement new features, complex requirements with a focus on solid architecture, security, and performance.
  • Debug and resolve bugs.
  • Write tests as needed to ensure that changes to code properly fulfill business needs.
  • Communicate with the QA team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation of feature requirements.
  • Provide thoughtful and kind feedback on pull requests to other team members.
  • Participate in group discussions about company interests, objectives, and interesting topics fostered to the growth of the individuals and the company.
