Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.39,700 – Ksh.52,960 p.m. (CSG 10/Job Group ‘K’)

House Allowance: Ksh.16,500 – Ksh.8,133 p.m.

Commuter Allowance: Ksh.5,000 p.m.

Leave Allowance: Ksh.6,000 p.a.

Annual Leave: 30 working days p.a.

Medical Cover: As provided by the Government

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• A Bachelor of Education degree in Mathematics and Statistics or a Bachelor Degree/Higher National Diploma in Mathematics and Statistics and a Diploma in Education or an Advanced Diploma in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized Institution or a Bachelor Degree/Higher National Diploma in Mathematics and Statistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
• Must be accredited and licensed by TVET Authority or registrable by TVETA; and
• Be a member of a relevant professional body, where applicable.

Duties And Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

• Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
• Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
• Setting and marking examination/assignment;
• Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
• Supervising trainees’ projects and practical work 

Applications are invited from qualified Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Diploma Holders for the positions of Vocational and Technical Trainers available in the various Technical, Vocational Education and Training Institutions as indicated.
