Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing the annual country marketing plans and achieving recruitment targets.
• Develop expert knowledge of all Deakin courses, student support services, admissions, and GTE requirements.
• Counsel students and parents on GTE requirements and assist students with required documentation.
• Responsible for all GTE documentation, preparation, and interviews including coaching/screening both agent and student profiles.
• Represent Deakin College at recruitment events, promoting Deakin as a study destination to prospective high-quality international students, and routinely assessing the effectiveness of such events to inform future activity.
• Organize recruitment events at schools/universities/English centers and co-organize events with agents as required.
• Respond to prospective student and agent inquiries accurately and promptly and take a pro-active role in the follow-up and conversion of inquiries to application and offer to acceptance.
• Nurture and follow up leads and student pipeline and identify and propose new recruitment opportunities while assisting in organizing and running Pre-departure events.
• Provide updates to the agents to ensure that they are aware of their obligations under the Australian National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2017 and have a thorough understanding of Deakin’s key selling points and courses.
• Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with Deakin’s agent network to ensure they are appropriately trained to maximize their potential as recruitment channels.
• Work with the Country Manager to develop annual agent marketing plans and work closely with the agents to develop activity plans and targets.
• Assist with the social media initiatives, print publication, and relevant materials assigned by Country
• Liaise with suppliers to receive quotes for producing marketing/promotional merchandise, with the approval of Marketing & Communications.
• Manage & arrange marketing materials for Deakin College in Kenya (logistics/contents/offline and online storage).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support the Senior Student Recruitment Manager in the preparation of student recruitment plans and initiatives in the relevant country/territory to achieve student recruitment targets.
• Provide regular reports to the Senior Student Recruitment Manager including market updates and competitor tracking.
• Collaborate with college-based and in-market teams.
• Develop relationships with schools in the region to increase Australasia colleges' brand awareness.
• Attend events on behalf of your division/college (and as relevant, of your University Partner)
• Participate in all recruitment activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion, information sessions and managing enquiries/agent requests.

This position reports to the International Account Manager and is responsible for delivering set recruitment targets for specific channels, territories, and agents.

The role will include regular business travel within the region.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with agents, strategic partners, and applicants from Africa, in preparing complete applications that are ready for assessment by the admissions team.
• Coordinate and deliver an exceptional customer service and experience to agents, strategic partners, and applicants from Africa regarding submitted applications.

Role description:
The Services will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the development and delivering the implementation of recruitment strategies for key agents within Africa and other identified countries, with a strong focus on recruitment targets
• Assisting in the development and delivery of an international recruitment plan targeting high school and university channels.
• Participation in recruitment activities in Africa and other identified countries to ensure strong volume of applications and high application to acceptance conversion rates
• Providing in-region end to end agent relationship management, including agent training on WSU product and admissions requirements to advance WSU’s reputation and profile in Africa and other identified markets

THE ELEMENT

The International Office comprises a number of units, including International Marketing, International Admissions and Compliance, International Partnerships, Student Experience, International Development Unit, and Marketing Communications. These units are responsible for the recruitment, admission and on-campus experience of international students, the coordination and promotion of international experiences for Griffith students, facilitation of institutional agreements and delegation visits, and the delivery of capacity-building programs for overseas governments and institutions.

CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

The consultant is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and initiatives to support the recruitment of international students from the Sub-Saharan Africa. The consultant will work closely with the Regional Marketing Director, to support and manage the University's agent network, and strategic partners and stakeholders, in effectively counselling and supporting new students in their decision and plans to undertake study at Griffith University. The responsibility for particular markets may vary over time due to the changing needs of the University. It is anticipated that this position will primarily be based in Nairobi, Kenya, but will require regular domestic and international travel.

CONSULTANT ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Together with the Regional Marketing Director, develop and implement annual marketing plans for recruitment activities in the assigned markets.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to implement marketing plans that support the recruitment of new students and enhance the University's profile and reputation in market.
• Manage agent relationships and represent Griffith University within the Sub-Saharan Africa region at promotional activities, including exhibitions, seminars and interviews, as well as deliver agent training and other recruitment-enhancing initiatives using the range of technologies available
• Undertake additional marketing related activities including research projects, design and delivery of activities and campaigns, and development of marketing and promotional strategies.
• Support and work with Griffith University's Academic Groups to meet international student recruitment objectives in the identified markets.
• Identify potential recruitment opportunities for the market and develop proposals for consideration by the Regional Marketing Director and Director, International Marketing.
• Provide local market intelligence to the Regional Marketing Director and Director, International Marketing, in support of ongoing market engagement and development.
• Represent the University and Griffith at all times in a professional and culturally appropriate manner.
• Ensure that the marketing budget for the country(s) is spent and reported in line with University financial policies and processes.
• Ensure that all travel activities are compliant with the Griffith International travel guidelines and University travel policy.
