About the role:

The Associate will work closely with the Director of Insights & Innovations to ensure a constant cycle of innovating and improving our mental health solutions. This will involve systematizing our monitoring and evaluation systems in the pursuit of real-time insights to inform decision making about our model of working with high school youths. Additionally, the Associate will contribute towards developing insights into whether our mental health solutions are good enough, big enough, simple enough and cheap enough which will be pivotal in answering questions around scalability of our approach in the months and years to come.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Scientific Innovations in implementing the organization's innovation strategy.
  • Participate in the development and execution of robust monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Contribute to research efforts geared towards advancing the organization's mission.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets, and translate these into actionable insights.
  • Work with team members and other teams to think outside the box in the construction of creative and innovative solutions to challenges that arise with our interventions.
  • Work closely with the team to meet the "4 Enoughs": Ensuring our solutions are good enough, cheap enough, simple enough, and big enough – leading to us know that our solutions are scalable.
  • Prepare detailed reports on innovation activities and outcomes, contributing to data-driven decision making.
  • Be able to use their strong scientific writing skills to contribute to the development of manuscripts that speak to the insights that the organization has been able to uncover.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in our field and integrate relevant innovations into our strategies and practices.

Who we're looking for:

  • We are looking for a dynamic and creative team player with strong analytical skills and a passion for mental health..
  • Candidates will have excellent academic / scientific writing skills and have experience working with complex data sets to extract insights.
  • The Associate will be expected to have project management skills to manage multiple tasks and see assigned projects from initiation to completion.
