MAIN PURPOSE:

  • As a key member of the manufacturing team, the Continuous Improvement (Projects) Manager will be responsible for driving MNF process improvement projects/initiatives that are geared towards process improvement, value-add or as mitigation measures in line with business manufacturing strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

  • Analyse and evaluate existing business processes and identify process efficiency and effectiveness, improvement areas such as bottlenecks, risks, duplicate activities, compliance to regulations (when applicable), best industry practices, automation needs etc.
  • Provide direction and oversight to process improvement project teams to design and implement solutions that meet applicable business needs.
  • Manage a portfolio of best practice avenues, benchmarking alternatives and tracking of the improvements thereof.
  • Perform project management, analytics, and measure to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved. To actively monitor project risks, foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify mitigation(s).
  • Implement Lean and/or Six Sigma, TPM, 4DX, KAIZEN, 7S, VSM methods/tools to drive process efficiencies.
  • Train teams on how to collaboratively resolve emerging process challenges- Problem solving, RCA techniques.
  • Prepare monthly reports aligned to the defined score card.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional/Academic/Technical qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree /Higher National Diploma in Engineering-Mechanical (Production)/Chemical & Process/ Mechatronics
  • Master’s in business administration is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strong management skills with ability to supervise multiple teams.
  • Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures.
  • At least 7- years’ previous experience in project management in a factory set up or related  position.
  • Experience in AutoCAD is an added advantage.
