What are we looking for?

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, organization culture, performance management, training and development, employee relations, and compensation.

Job Description

  • Oversee the end-to-end financial operations of the company in line with DDD's strategic goals and social mission.
  • Build strong internal control processes by ensuring proper approvals and documentation of expenses
  • Oversee DDD’s clients' inquiries regarding billing issues and investigate and resolve any irregularities
  • Oversee Ventures’s AR collection
  • Ensure Tax compliance and that all returns are filed on time to avoid penalties
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Perform financial management duties including generating financial data (financial statements, cash flow analyses, and forecasts), compiling and submitting reports, analyzing trends
  • Participate in decision-making processes concerning company strategies and operations by advising senior executives on the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Implement robust financial management frameworks, processes, and systems
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the country head.
  •  Assessing the financial health of the company by analyzing the company's financial performance and pinpointing areas for potential improvement.
  • Fixed assets management and management of cash and other current assets/prudent utilization of funds

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional qualification (such as CPA or CFA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting and finance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience with financial management within the tech or digital industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Outstanding strategic planning skills and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Added advantage: Knowledge of NetSuite
