PURPOSE:

The incumbent is responsible for reporting responsibilities within the credit risk function of the Bank at portfolio level in compliance with credit policy and CBK prudential guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing statutory reports in utmost accuracy for regulatory submissions within stipulated timelines and ensuring nil non-compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensuring all credit related GLs are reconciled and aligned to the related listings monthly.
• Preparation of other scheduled/adhoc external reports to DFIs, CRBs, KBA and other stakeholders.
• Performing analysis/review of risk classification of loans advances and computing the required general and specific provisioning of the portfolio in line with CBK Prudential Guidelines.
• Facilitating any required strategic management reports for risk management and decision making.
• Supporting facilitation of seamless audit processes by co-ordination of all requirements within credit department.
• Preparation of Internal reports to Departmental units and management accurately and within the agreed timelines.
• Supporting in co-ordination of CRMC/BCC papers, preparation of the Agenda and circulation of Matters Arising from previous meetings for input by all relevant stakeholders.
• Preparation and modelling of IFRS9 numbers, validating the ECL results and analyzing impacts.
• Monitor and report loan portfolio performance and trends to provide insight to business teams and management.
• Tracking of credit policy requirements against internal and regulatory limits and reporting any breaches or exceptions to management.
• Providing input in the review and update of the credit reporting related policies and guidelines.
• Supporting any Bank project relating to credit reporting aspects.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institution.

• 5 years banking experience with at least 2-3 years’ within credit reporting lines.
• Well versed with CBK Prudential Guidelines relating to Asset Classification, knowledge of relevant bank processes, policies and procedures

Main Accountabilities and approximate time split

Card Product Development

• Drive products innovation and invention.
• Manage product, pricing, and channel strategy for usage-building products.
• Develop and enhance product VAS to ensure the bank offers a robust product solution.
• Develop and deploy customer life cycle management framework.
• Track and take actions to improve card portfolio performance KPIs – spend, balance, activity, attrition etc.
• Formulate and implement key initiatives to ensure that the value drivers track as per plan ensuring strong revenue performance.
• Work with marketing team to run spend and utilization campaigns for the card product.
• Drive segmental spend campaigns for various customer segments across the portfolio including dormancy management.
• Develop and implement Portfolio intervention frameworks including Early Engagement and Continuous Customer Engagement strategies throughout the customer life cycle through data-led and data analysis to harness opportunities for growth.

Bank Network Product Support

• Engage with branches and other stakeholders to drive card product uptake
• Drive product training across the entire branch network
• Engage all key stakeholder to drive product performance – RM, DST teams, Virtual RMs, branch managers, area managers etc
• Be at the center of ensuring all product related queries and complains are handled conclusively and on a timely manner.
• Working with all support functions to ensure the product is adequately supported thus enhancing customer experience, driving usage and optimizing revenues.

Product Sales Support

• Develop and roll out card sales programs.
• Work with all stakeholders – branch network, RMs, DSTs to drive card sales
• Constant review of existing processes to enable seamless cards sales operations process flow.
• Develop training material to facilitate card knowledge capacity building across the entire bank network.
• Regular branch visits to support the branches and other sales channels in driving the product.
• Drive and implement initiatives to reduce the TAT for complaints.
• Support the Head of Card Issuing to ensure that monitoring tools developed are applied and effectiveness of training and other ‘people development’ activities are properly monitored.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for managing and supervising Branch cash services to ensure that customers get the best in terms of service delivery in accordance with the Bank’s policy, procedures and guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the Branch maintains optimum level of cash in liaison with the Central Cash department.

Purpose

The role is responsible for effectively growing the portfolio by working on strategies to acquire new customers, retain and expand through cross selling the relationship with existing customers. Primary Responsibilities

• Market new business in both assets and liabilities for the branch.
• Market alternative products such as credit cards, prepaid cards, Internet banking, mobile banking etc. as well as Bancassurance products.
• Monitor accounts and follow up for repayments and remedial action where accounts may become delinquent.
